Dear Pat,

Once again the information published on your blog is totally incorrect. It is a shame that you can't ask for clarification before publishing. I will try to clarify a few things for you, in the order they have come up:

1. I was at the pool at 9 o'clock yesterday morning, then back at 10 o'clock, but 1 didn't see any rain! Considering no one should swim in the pool during heavy storms, I was surprised to find out that the workers were still at the pool, but when asked by a resident whether they can go home I telephoned the workers and stated that we had no problem for them to go home, but insisted that they are employed and would therefore stay (not to mention her husband was picking her up at 8 o'clock). If their agency rules are to stay; we cannot make them go! Unfortunately as we all know Mother Nature is unpredictable!

2. As Spanish schools finish during the last weeks of June, it would be good to have the workers in place before the big rush arrives, considering the high season will be beginning shortly. The problems I think you are mentioning would be the debtors or non-Mi-Sol residents using the pool (as in the flat users you mention in your article and the nacciones users caught climbing though a hole, which was immediately repaired), as these users have not contributed to the cost of the pool. It would also make sense to have the system in place during the warm weather, when the pool is usually busy, as you know there were people in the last week of May.

3. During last summer it was pointed out by you that the users were not being told by the lifeguard we had, to stop running. You requested further signs to be put up, even though the rule sign clearly states no running. You were investigating in the UK, but it was us actually who thought that this had fizzled out. We have the responsibility to ensure the safety of all users, and the compliance of the rules.

4. As you mentioned "anyone who knows me, know I wasn't there", it is probably the reason you didn't know that the pool was in fact opened at 9 o'clock, but the lifeguard's shift started at 10 o'clock (as visible at the pool).

5. Who is the "misolite" cleaning the pool? Does he or she know they won't be getting paid! Please tell them to stop if you see them! The committee was under the impression that the Gardener's business was the only one undertaking the work, as you said "needs to be done daily". Rosario insisted that companies working for the community must show their official paperwork. We know and have copies of his official registration paperwork. How can it "no matter how you dress it up this is also illegal"? If that's the case no agency could exist, as we pay them rather than their employee working. As you mention to me today, you, like most people, are unaware of all the Spanish systems, like the fact that the i.v.a will be going up to 18% on the 01/07/2010, and that under article 9 of the Horizontal Property Law - Residents will be classed as debtors if they owe money for last year and/or comunidad to the date when a service is required.

I hope this can clarify a few points for you, in future if you would like to send me an email with questions I would be happy to answer, before publishing on the blog.

I know your blog states "information and misinformation" but this takes the biscuit, what about putting "Completely Incorrect Information"!

As we have now been informed that there is a problem with the road from plot 435, we will be able to do something about it. Thank you.

Thank you for the information you provided today, it was a great help and will be published on the blog for others to see the "gem" you have found while undertaking the archiving.

Yours Sincerely,
Peter Hopkins Treasurer
