2010-06-03-From Committee to P.Ainger

Email sent to Pat Ainger by the president

Hi Pat
Thanks for your email, I think you have been mis-informed with respect to having to be on the committee in order to sit in the office so that residents can collect their mail. Any resident can do this and we have always welcomed their services.
I agree that Shelagh, Lynne and Peter were happy with this but the minutes clearly state that you and P.Olive have been co-opted onto the committee temporarily which they vehemently disagree with.   Our
statutes state that the committee shall meet whenever it is summoned by the President and in his/her
absence, three of its members subject to notification five days in advance. This was not adhered to and
I am not pointing the blame at anyone, coupled with the contents of the minutes, the meeting will be
declared null and void and will be recorded as being so.
I am aware of P Olive's offer to check the accounts but it is a sensitive subject due to the fact that she was not re-elected to the committee at last years AGM. Under the circumstances the committee agreed it would benefit all owners to have the accounts of 2009 professionally audited in readiness for this years AGM. Because of both mine and Peter's efforts to bring the community together after 6 years of turmoil, all residents are now paying into one bank account resulting in a stable and healthy balance and therefore feel it is money that will be well spent.
I have to say that P Olive has born a grudge against the decision of the community at last years AGM and has constantly criticized and harassed the committee instead of accepting the decision with grace and offering her help and knowledge which would have been welcomed. It is due to her actions that we have lost 2 very good committee members.
I thank you for your comments and am always happy to receive honest and constructive remarks.
Best regards Mo
